Qatar has issued a new law concerning the Privacy and Protection of Personal Data which will come into force on 3rd May 2017.
The law aims to provide protection and recommends guidelines for the processing of personal data.
Some of the key changes under the law include:
- How you capture and use customer and client data
- The storage and processing of data
- Notifying customers and clients as well as regulator if your data is breached
- Providing customers and clients access to their individual data that you store
